Who We Are

W1N Church is a group of people in and around Warren, OH, who love Jesus and love people!  We are not a group of perfect people who have it all together, but we trust in the ONE who does.  Join us on our journey!

MISSION STATEMENT

The W1N Family: Inviting God's love to rewrite our stories and reshape our world one life at a time.

CORE VALUES

WE W1N WHEN WE KEEP THE MESSAGE OF JESUS OUR MAIN MESSAGE

HOPE HAS A NAME, AND THAT NAME IS JESUS.  WE WILL UNAPOLOGETICALLY PROCLAIM JESUS AS THE HOPE THAT THE WORLD IS LOOKING FOR.  IN ORDER TO REACH PEOPLE WITH THE MESSAGE OF JESUS, WE WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES, GIVE WHATEVER IT TAKES, CHANGE WHATEVER IT TAKES, AND RISK IT ALL TO MAKE JESUS REAL 1 LIFE AT A TIME!

WE W1N WHEN WE PRAY

THE WORK OF THE KINGDOM CANNOT BE DONE EFFECTIVELY WITHOUT PRAYER.  WE ARE COMMITTED TO BEING MORE THAN JUST A BUILDING WHERE CHRISTIANS GATHER; WE ARE COMMITTED TO BEING A "HOUSE OF PRAYER" AS JESUS INSTRUCTS.  WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER TO CHANGE OUR CHURCH, OUR LIVES, AND OUR WORLD.

WE W1N WHEN WE KEEP IT REAL

AS PEOPLE WHO RECOGNIZE OUR OWN BROKENNESS, WE COMMIT TO ALWAYS "KEEP IT REAL," OPERATING WITH AUTHENTICITY, INTEGRITY, AND TRANSPARENCY IN EVERYTHING WE DO.  WE WILL NEVER "CHURCH IT UP" TO MAKE OUR MISSION SEEM EASIER OR MORE MARKETABLE.  WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WE LIVE IN A BROKEN WORLD AND THE STRUGGLE IS REAL.  BECAUSE OF THAT, WE WILL BE REAL ABOUT OUR VICTORIES AND STRUGGLES.

WE W1N WHEN WE DON'T THROW STONES

WE WILL STRIVE TO BE A PLACE OF ACCEPTANCE AND A PLACE OF BELONGING.  WE WILL NOT EXPECT PEOPLE TO CLEAN UP THEIR ACT BEFORE BECOMING A PART OF OUR FAMILY.  WE ADMIT THAT WE ARE ALL SINNERS AND THE ONLY HOPE WE HAVE IS IN THE LIFE-CHANGING LOVE AND GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST.

WE W1N WHEN WE FOCUS ON "FAMILY"

WE ARE MORE THAN JUST A CHURCH.  A NEED WE ALL HAVE AND DESIRE IS TO BELONG TO A FAMILY.  FAMILIES ARE NEVER PERFECT.  WE HAVE STRUGGLES, DRAMA, TENSION, DISAGREEMENTS--BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE ARE STILL FAMILY.  WE WILL CREATE A FAMILY ENVIRONMENT WHERE FUN IS A PRIORITY, AND WE BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NOTHING MORE FUN THAN SERVING GOD WITH PEOPLE YOU LOVE.  WE WILL LAUGH HARD, CRY OFTEN, AND BE THERE FOR ONE ANOTHER WHEN OUR FAMILY NEEDS US.

WE W1N WHEN WE ARE INTENTIONAL

WE WILL NOT TAKE OUR RESPONSIBILITY LIGHTLY.  WITH HOLY SPIRIT-DIRECTED INTENTIONALITY WE COMMIT TO INVEST IN THE FAMILY OF OUR CHURCH: MARRIAGE, PARENTS, AND A STRONG COMMITMENT TO INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION BY NOT ONLY PROVIDING SOLID CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTRIES BUT ALSO A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO MINISTRY THAT EMPOWERS PARENTS TO INVEST IN THEIR CHILDREN AS WELL.

WE W1N WHEN WE HELP EACH OTHER ON THE JOURNEY

THERE ARE 100 "ONE ANOTHER"S IN THE NEW TESTAMENT.  59 OF THOSE ARE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW WE CAN SERVE AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.  WE RECOGNIZE THAT NOT ONLY OUR SENSE OF BELONGING BUT ALSO OUR STRENGTH AS A FAMILY COMES FROM JOINING ONE ANOTHER ON THE JOURNEY: HELPING EACH OTHER TAKE ONE STEP CLOSER TO JESUS.  OUR STRENGTH IS IN THE COLLECTIVE COMMUNITY OF FAITH THAT ENCOURAGES ONE ANOTHER, BEARS ONE ANOTHER'S BURDENS, AND PICKS US UP WHEN WE FALL.

WE W1N WHEN WE ALLOW OUR HEARTS TO BE BROKEN

JESUS WAS MOVED WITH COMPASSION ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION.  AS WE WALK IN HIS FOOTSTEPS, WE ARE CALLED TO BECOME A PEOPLE WITH BROKEN HEARTS.  WE BELIEVE THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH IS TO OFFER COMPASSION IN HIS NAME AND DELIVERANCE THROUGH HIS POWER.  WE HONOR GOD'S HEART FOR THE POOR, BROKEN, MARGINALIZED, UNLOVED, AND FORGOTTEN.  IF IT MATTERS TO HIM, IT MATTERS TO US.  OUR PRAYER IS THAT OUR HEARTS WILL BE BROKEN BY THE THINGS THAT BREAK THE HEART OF GOD.

WE W1N WHEN WE endeavor to honor god with excellence

WE DESIRE TO LAY OUR BEST OFFERINGS BEFORE HIM IN GRATITUDE FOR THE SACRIFICE HE MADE FOR US.  WE RECOGNIZE THAT WE DO NOTHING APART FROM HIM, AND WE ARE GRATEFUL WHEN HE ALLOWS US TO BLESS HIM AND OTHERS WITH THE GIFTS THAT HE BESTOWS.

WE W1N WHEN WE LEARN

AS WE SERVE, WE WILL LEARN.  WE WILL BE HUMBLE AND TEACHABLE, AND RECOGNIZE THAT WE ARE ALWAYS DEVELOPING AS LEADERS AND SERVANTS.  WE WILL SEEK TO DEVELOP MUTUALLY TRANSFORMATIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THOSE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE CHURCH SO WE CAN BETTER UNDERSTAND HOW WE CAN EARN THE RIGHT TO SHARE THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST WITHIN THE CULTURE OF OUR WORLD.

Pastoral Leadership

Pastor Brian

pastorbriandaniels@gmail.com

Pastor Brian is a big guy with a big heart for people. He moved to Warren in June 2019 with his wife Kelly, son Cody, and daughters Briley and Annabelle. He enjoys a good laugh, and his humor often comes through in his Sunday sermons. His leadership of the church reflects his compassion for hurting people and passion for a genuine and honest walk with Christ, and he challenges the people of W1N to live out our faith by serving and loving our community.

Pastor Kelly

pastorkellydaniels@gmail.com

Pastor Kelly loves to talk and she loves to hug! You'll often find her in the foyer or greeting people in the sanctuary before and after church. She also enjoys laughing and learning with the kiddos here at W1N. She spends most Sundays in children's church, and the rest of her week she works as a counselor. These two positions reflect her passion to advocate for those who need help and to mentor others into a strong relationship with Jesus. If you would like to meet her, just follow the bright colors and happy sounds back to the children's area. :)

Church of the Nazarene is...

…A PROTESTANT CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN THE WESLEYAN-HOLINESS TRADITION, TRACING ITS ROOTS TO AN ANNIVERSARY DATE OF 1908. IT WAS FOUNDED TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF SCRIPTURAL HOLINESS (CHRISTLIKE LIVING) ACROSS THE LANDS. TODAY THE CHURCH OF THE  NAZARENE IS LOCATED IN 156 WORLD AREAS.

THE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE IS A GREAT COMMISSION CHURCH. OUR MISSION IS TO MAKE CHRISTLIKE DISCIPLES IN THE NATIONS. WE BELIEVE THAT GOD OFFERS TO EVERYONE FORGIVENESS, PEACE, JOY, PURPOSE, LOVE, MEANING IN LIFE, AND THE PROMISE OF HEAVEN WHEN LIFE IS OVER BY ENTERING AND EXPERIENCING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. WE ARE CALLED TO TAKE THIS MESSAGE TO PEOPLE EVERYWHERE.

THE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE IS ALSO A HOLINESS CHURCH. BY THAT WE MEAN, THAT GOD THROUGH HIS GRACE AND MERCY CAN TRANSFORM US . . . CAN HEAL OUR BROKENNESS, OVERCOME OUR ADDICTIONS, MEND OUR FRACTURED RELATIONSHIPS AND EMPOWER US, THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT, TO OVERCOME SIN. WE BELIEVE THAT THIS TRANSFORMATION CAN HAPPEN IN OUR LIFE WHILE WE ARE ON THIS EARTH AND THAT THIS TRANSFORMATION DOESN’T JUST HAPPEN WHEN WE GET TO HEAVEN. WE BELIEVE THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS IN OUR MIDST AND THAT GOD THROUGH JESUS AND THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TRANSFORMING LIVES NOW.

“Our homes are to be hospitals—refuges of healing radiating the light of heaven. And our dinner tables are to be operating tables — the place where broken souls are made whole again. In our churches people should find rest from their battle for acceptance and release from the lie that they are nothing more than the goods they possess. When we lower our defenses, when we remove our façades and our peepholes, and we begin to be truly present with one another—then the healing power of the gospel can begin its work.” – Skye Jethani
